Celebrate the seasons at Murdoch James in the stunning Bloom restaurant with us. Drop in for lunch, have a glass of wine or just a snack and an espresso coffee! In summer, we are only closed Tuesdays. In winter, we open Thursday through Monday. And sorry, not open evenings except for group bookings. Our chef always offers a menu matched with the seasons and with the premium wines of the vineyard. Ask the team which wine to match with your choice of food or, better still, drop into the Cellar Door before lunch and taste the wines before you take a seat in the restaurant and make a choice from the menu. Or do it reverse, select your meal, then come and taste so you can match the ideal wine with it! Focusing on fresh local produce to create a full menu offering both full meals and lighter options, we prepare something for everyone's tastes. In summer, relax and stretch out in the sun on the deck. In winter, snuggle up by the fire and enjoy a glass of Pinot Noir with friends. Whatever the weather, we have it covered. Fresh cuisine, to match with our fantastic wines and superb service, giving you the perfect New Zealand wine and food experience. For large lunch reservations of groups of 12 or more, we strongly recommend selecting one of our set menu options. We can also offer special themed menus for special occasions, or fixed price menus for larger gatherings. If you have a particular requirement, simply let us know and we'll be pleased to assist.
