Enjoy a Weekend Escape at Murdoch James Estate! We have put together a very special package for 2 (or 4) persons, which will leave you feeling relaxed and informed. You will escape from the city for two days and during that time be hosted by the vineyard owner and winemaker while you sample everything this beautiful vineyard has to offer; food, wine and unique experiences in the company of great hosts. The package includes: Two nights vineyard accommodation in the beautifully renovated 'Winemakers Cottage' right in the heart of the vineyard, on a self catering basis. Continental breakfast items are provided for your arrival. Normal check in is after 3.00pm, and check out by 11.00 am on day of departure. If we can help with extensions to these times, we are pleased to do so, if other guest bookings permit An exclusive 'Grape to Glass' vineyard and winery tour hosted by the vineyard owner or winemaker. The tour includes a stroll through the various vineyard blocks, a visit to the underground barrel caves and exploration of the winery. We will look at how quality grapes are grown and converted to top-class wines along the way. The tour also includes a tasting of 5 premium wines as we stroll around Lunch in the stunning Bloom restaurant, while enjoying wonderful vineyard, valley and mountain views from the elevated terrace. This can be on either day, and includes two courses, a glass of wine each and tea or coffee Arrive late Friday afternoon, check in and relax with glass of wine from the complimentary bottle in your refrigerator. After a peaceful night, awake refreshed and meet the winemaker for your hosted tour, which will be followed by lunch on the terrace at Bloom. Recognised for fine food and wine, Bloom will make it hard for you to leave! The evening is free, and on Sunday we recommend you complete your break with a round of golf at the beautiful Martinborough course, or maybe drive down to Cape Palliser to see the seals, or if you are energetic, climb to the lighthouse (only 263 steps!). The value of this experience is over $600. Booked as a complete package it is only $550. The cost for two couples the cost is $750 (value $900). Start this wonderful stay on a Saturday or Thursday, rather than Friday, if that is your preference. There is a small $30 surcharge for use of the fold-out bed in the lounge. If you cannot spare the time to spend a weekend with us, experience our hospitality with an overnight stay. Arrive on Saturday morning, check in and relax, then enjoy lunch on the deck at Bloom, followed by a tour of the vineyard, winery and barrel caves. Before dinner, relax on the deck of the 'Winemakers Cottage' and, while you enjoy the complimentary bottle of wine given to you on arrival, watch the sun set over the mountains. Sleep in on Sunday morning, then meet the vineyard owner for a late coffee before joining him on a vineyard & winery tour, which includes a leisurely walk through the vines, a visit to
the underground barrel caves and the winery. The tour includes a tasting of 5 premium wines, while the lunch
for two in the stunning Bloom restaurant is two courses with a glass of wine each, and tea/coffee to finish. The value of this experience is over $400. Booked as a complete accomodation and tour package it is only $370, for one couple, or only $500 for two couples (value $560). These is a small extra charge of $30 for use of the fold-out bed in the lounge. Mid-week escapes Great value for those who can get away during the week, why not take advantage of our mid-week tariff? This is available Monday to Thursday each week, excluding public holidays and the peak summer period from 15 December to 15 January. At only $160 per night for one couple and $190 per night for two, this makes your winery escape great value. The tariff includes continental breakfast items for your stay, and a complementary bottle of wine at check in. If you wish to add on lunch at Bloom and a 'Grape to Glass' Wine Tour, the cost is an extra $80 per person. The tour includes a
